Projets en cours/Current Projects
Antonella Braida's main research area is Anglo-Italian studies and British Romanticism. She co-organised the project Cross-Cultural and Cross-Border Dynamics with Céline Sabiron, Jeremy Tranmer and Claire McKeown. Her doctoral and postdoctoral research focuses on the English translation, reception and influence of the Divine Comedy. This research resulted in the monographs Dante and the Romantics and Dante on View (co-edited with Luisa Calé). More recently, she has become interested in women’s contribution to European Romanticism and edited the volume Mary Shelley and Europe (Legenda, 2020). Her research focuses on the role of women journalists in the transfer of ideas across Britain and Italy from the 1780s to the 1830s. She is interested in exploring the ideas of women’s networks, women's literary reviews and journalism, women’s literary partnership, and in general women’s ability to occupy the public space in diverse ways.
