Stéphane est professeur des universités en histoire et civilisation britanniques. Il est directeur adjoint d'IDEA et responsable de l'axe "Interdisciplinarité".
Les recherches de Stéphane portent sur l'histoire des idées, l'histoire politique et les idéologies. Fondateur en 2022 du séminaire "Construction des idéologies" qu'il coorganise actuellement avec IDEA et le CREA (Université Paris-Nanterre), il a récemment codirigé l'ouvrage Liberalism and Socialism since the Nineteenth Century (Palgrave, 2024).
Stéphane est également directeur de la série "Mondes anglophones" aux EDUL et superviseur scientifique du club de rechercher Orion "Culture et Politique".

Stéphane is a university professor of British history and civilization. He is deputy director of IDEA and head of the "Interdisciplinarity" research area.
Stéphane's research focuses on the history of ideas, political history, and ideologies. In 2022, he founded the seminar "Construction des idéologies," which he currently co-organizes with IDEA and CREA (Université Paris-Nanterre). He recently co-edited the book Liberalism and Socialism since the Nineteenth Century (Palgrave, 2024).
Stéphane is also the director of the "Mondes anglophones" series at EDUL and the scientific supervisor of the Orion research club "Culture et Politique."
